Los Laureles Bar, in Barracas, is an original and authentic place where only locals attend to experiment Tango like nowhere else in the city. Back in 1893, in the corner of Iriarte and Goncalves Dias streets, Los Laureles opened its doors. The bar was a witness of the luxury and comfort of the neighborhood’s mansions and through the 1900 sit became a place for political discussions and debates. Nowadays, the bar preserves the Tango culture to the core, keeping and representing the history and identity of every bar that ever existed in the “arrabal porteño” . Old rituals are kept and also renewed, amateur singers of any kind entertain those enjoying a nice dinner, milongueros awaits for the dance rounds to the beat of old vinyl records playing. Young composers, interpreters and dancers mix each week with the old school and create a special, unique and passionate Tango environment.
